Talizmyn’s August 2021 Art Update

With the latest Art Update, I’m trying something a little bit different. Instead of working through my artwork and projects chronologically for the month, I’ll break it down by work type. In this case, artwork, timelapses, ko-fi supporter rewards, and twitch art streams.

As with everything, I would greatly appreciate your feedback on this new setup: do you like it or not, and why or why not? Is there something else you’d like me to include? I would love to hear about it!

Upcoming Art Stream

For some time now, I’ve been playing with the idea of giving streaming a shot. I’ve spent some time creating various graphics and overlays for my Twitch channel and stream and have procrastinated just enough that I really have no excuse but to give it a go.

At this point, I have no set schedule and don’t yet know if it’s something I will continue to do regularly. However, my current plan is to give it a decent chance! So I’ll be streaming once or twice a week for around 2 hours at a time as I work on personal projects, raffle prizes, or commissions. I may do a monthly art request stream if there’s interest in that, too.

I’ll be posting on Twitter, FB, and ko-fi when I go live on Sunday. Keep a lookout if you’re interested in seeing me working on a ko-fi raffle prize for River, and maybe I’ll even start a pet portrait.

FFXIV Digital Art Timelapse

Here is the timelapse of a recent digital art commission for an FFXIV character portrait, an Elezen Paladin wielding her fancy sword and shield. This one took me a bit more time to prepare, but it is finally ready!

Part of the timelapse is missing, unfortunately, because… I forgot to start recording it. Luckily, it wasn’t too far in so there’s still a fair bit to see of the sketch phase before I get into inking and colour.

Enjoy!

Ko-Fi Goal Reached!

Thank you to everyone that has supported me through ko-fi and commissions these last few months! Your support has enabled me to reach my last ko-fo goal, which was to raise $160 to put toward a new capture card.

This card is now in my possession, and my next step is to set it up and test it! I’m excited to see how much better this card works and be able to share timelapses again with more ease and less weird screen artifacts. I might even have to see how this streaming thing works, too!

Again, thanks to everyone that made this happen. You’re awesome, and I can’t wait to show you what else I have been working on. 😀

April + May 2021 Art Update

Last update I left off with completing the Frozen painting for my niece. April turned into quite a busy month, with a slow-down in May to focus on a single project and take a small break. It also means I have a small backlog of items due to Ko-fi Supporters, and your patience is much appreciated!

Video: Step-by-Step Process of Creating a Pet Portrait

It’s ready!

Here is a timelapse of my recent commission, giving a step-by-step process (minus all the specifics and technical stuff about the program I use) on how I go about creating these pet portraits. My end goal for this is, as you might imagine, to generate more interest in the aforementioned pet portrait commissions. Wish me luck!

If interested in seeing more videos or timelapses from me, please do like the video or even subscribe to my channel on youtube!

Also, I would love to know what you think: If there’s anything I can do to improve these videos for you and provide a better experience, do let me know.

Thanks,
Talizmyn

If interested, please do like the video or even subscribe to my channel on youtube! Also, I would love to know what you think: If there’s anything I can do to improve these videos for you and provide a better experience, do let me know.

Thanks~!

Digital Art Timelapse: Elsa and Olaf from Frozen

Here is the timelapse for the gift for my niece, featuring characters from Frozen. It’s surprising to me how a month of working on a project—several hours during that time— can turn into a video that’s under 6 minutes in runtime. But I imagine that shorter timelapse is more accessible than expecting someone to sit through 5 hours of it!

I would love to know what you think! If there’s anything I can do to improve these videos for you and provide a better experience, do let me know.

It would also help tremendously to have this video shared, as more views mean that Youtube will show my video to more people overall. If you know someone interested in seeing the time-lapse of my work, please let them know. 😉

Thanks so much for your support!
